It’s All About the Task: Using Authentic Language Resources With All Learners (All languages welcome!)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Using authentic language resources, with novice learners especially, can be intimidating for the teacher as well as for the student. We want to walk the line of exposing students to a lot of authentic language but also making sure they are not overwhelmed. In this session, participants will learn how to use an authentic language resource with any level, without modifying the resource and instead adjusting the task. Come ready to learn and share strategies and activity ideas!

Outcomes:
Participants will identify tasks appropriate for Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Learners.
Participants will receive strategies and tips on using authentic language resources.
Participants will collaborate to create a list of activity ideas for different resources.
